YUPO paper is like a kinda plastic like paper its smooth and you cant touch it cuz if the oils from your hands get on it water + oil = no go ... so this papers cool cuz its NOT ABSORBENT.. so the colors are as rich as your put them on.. sense its not absorbent it does take away some of the cool techniques you can use on regular paper but YUPO has sooo many cool things you can do! lifting is VERY easy and fun because you can do a lot of textures and lift and the pattern will be on there.. for example.. ive used bubble wrap on my yupo paintings and the bubble wrap design will stay there and its awesome! and another cool thing with it sense its not absorbent...if you finish it and REALLY REALLY dont like it? you can run it under the sink and all of it will come off and you can start fresh again! but its hard for people to get used to it but you should try it out its great!
Really? Well this one really spoke to me, love it. Isn't it funny how that works, I'll display something I've done that I adore to lukewarm feedback, then I'll post something I'm not that crazy about & everyone loves it... shows that a piece of art can really be a direct communication to one specific person, sometimes not even the artist that created it...
exactly! thats why even if im not too happy about it ill post it! like this one got my most view and favs so i was like "):" but now that people are liking it more im starting to like it more too! yeah it kinda sucks when your fav work doesnt get as much feedback but its all good! thanks again your one of my favorite watchers!
oooh very nice! How did you get the masking so niiiice? Mine never comes out that clean... then again I'm impatient... That must be it. Did you use a screen or something to get the background like that with the pattern?
ok so this paper is called YUPO paper its like a polyester paper thing its not absorbent so the water color sits on top! to get the white i used this stuff called "miskit" which is just the brand name but its like friskit i lay it on and paint on top and then peel it off. with YUPO you can lift add designs and a bunch of stuff! for the background i took bubble wrap and put paint on top of it and then layed in down and let it dry and peeled it off i highly recomend it!
:0 Oh I see! That's amazing! I've only ever used rubber cement... -_- it's not so good... you have to lift the water off before anything dries or the pigment will stain through the mask. >< Wow, more useful things to do with bubble wrap! It's better than duck tape! Thank you for answering my questions!!
